Salary Range: $29,030 - $40,042 annually. 32 Hours a week. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Summary
This position is responsible for checking in patients, triaging acute care visits, assisting providers with medical procedures, administering vaccines/injections, assisting with medical supply inventory, collecting lab specimens and assisting with front desk operations as needed.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Checks in patients prior to seeing medical provider
- Obtains lab specimens and notifies providers when results are received
- Assists with clinic inventory and orders medical supplies when needed
- Tracks abnormal labs and assists provider in contacting those patients
- Communicates with patients needing follow up exams, appointments, and other health care needs
- Notifies patients of normal lab and radiograph results at provider's request
- Gives immunizations as outlined in clinic protocols
- Assists with biohazardous waste disposal
- Answers phone and schedules appointments after triaging the needs of patients
- Triages walk-in requests for appointments
- Assists providers with medical emergencies that arise in clinic until EMT's arrive
- Works with students to comply with MMR and Meningitis vaccine requirements
- Disinfects exam rooms on a regular basis
- Stocks exam rooms on a weekly or as needed basis

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have BLS certification.
- Must be Registered Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or have the ability to obtain
certification within 30 days of the start date.
Experience:
- Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Highly qualified applicants will have experience working with college aged population.
